Anyone who has used the tripod as a rear support knows that getting the leg placed exactly right, is one of the biggest issues you face when using the tripod. The MARS has a 4 inch rear shelf, that eats up this placement error and allows you to quickly build a position, without having to waste time making slight adjustments to the tripod.

The MARS rest quickly and easily slides up and down your tripod leg. When you move the MARS rest it stays parallel to the ground giving you the ability to also traverse right and left to easily engage targets. You can also manipulate the MARS rest to pivot around your tripod leg to help you adjust and build your position as well transition to other targets. more info
